my 2021 seed stock

My seed inventory is getting pretty old and I don’t always store them in the “proper” conditions like I should. As a result, my germination rate wasn’t as great last year. So I decided to buy all new seed! You didn’t have to ask me twice! Seeding buying is both exciting and a little overwhelming (I want everything afterall!) So this year, I gave my list of seeds some exta thought. After considering all the meals we enjoy and our weekly grocery shopping list, as well as things I generally enjoy, I curated a list of plants I would like to have in my brand new raised kitchen garden. Some of the sources of inspiration were homemade chicken noodle soup, red beans and rice, tacos with all the fixin’s, lunch-time salads, and family favorites.

My shopping list included:

Broccoli
Paste Tomatoes
Green Beans
Carrots
Sugar Snap Peas
Basil
Chives
Thyme
Cucumbers
Beets
Lettuce
Cilantro
Cantaloupe
Arugula
Zucchini
Kale
Oregano
Sunflower
Sweet Corn (maybe)
Jalapenos
Bell Peppers

Now, watch my video to see what I actually bought and why!
